The strong seller's market continued in Santa Barbara County with 823 homes sold in South Santa Barbara County (Carpinteria to Goleta, including Montecito and Hope Ranch) in the first half of 2021. This is a 54% increase from 2020. Prior to the pandemic, home sales in South Santa Barbara County would hover between 530-550 for the same time span.
