Meet Devon Watkins Reinauer of Devon Remade:

Q: How did you start your business?
A: I have worked in the fashion industry my whole career, but at the start of the pandemic I wanted to find a way to encourage women to get dressed during a difficult season. Sweatpants were life, but I felt a shift in my mental state when I got dressed. Getting dressed helped bring some normalcy and brought me joy in a hard season. I started posting on Instagram about how to pull outfits together and then launched virtual and in-home consultations in the summer of 2020. In these sessions, I help women identify their true style identity through a style questionnaire and by asking key questions about them and their lifestyle.  I provide outfit planning and go through women’s closets and toss what isn’t serving them, as well as bringing them a rack of new clothes that work with their lifestyle and fit their true style identity. My unique process is more than styling and it has resonated with women in all stages of life.  I’ve had the privilege of styling top interior designers, entrepreneurs and CEOs.

Q: Why did you start your business?
A: After the birth of my second child, I felt lost in my clothes and style. Even though I had a fashion background, I felt overwhelmed by all the choices. I started building my wardrobe with foundational pieces and pulling inspiration to figure out my true style. Once I did this, it felt easier to shop towards a specific wardrobe instead of aimlessly shopping. I loved having clothes that worked for my home life with kids and my work life. I loved it so much that I wanted to help other women feel the same way. So often we seem to lose ourselves in times of transition and I wanted to help women find their way back to themselves. Getting dressed should be an act of self-care and a reflection of who you are and how you show up in the world.

Q: What makes you the most passionate about your work?
A: My heart is to educate and empower women to live their best life and feel confident in their clothes no matter the season of life. Think of me like your best friend that tells you what looks good and what doesn’t! I am also passionate about supporting local and small businesses so it has been a gift to be able to marry the two worlds of bringing clients clothes from local shops here in Santa Barbara and Montecito.

Q: What is your favorite aspect of what you do?
A: I love the feeling of seeing a woman come into her own with her style and see how truly beautiful she is.

Q: Where can we find you on a weekend or your day off?
A: At the beach with my kiddos or entertaining in my backyard with friends.

A: 2 years

A: Currently from LA to SF but I also provide virtual services all over the states.
