Hope Ranch

Private community punctuated with majestic oaks, bridle paths, and private beach access

Welcome to Hope Ranch

Enjoy an active lifestyle in this upscale neighborhood.

Hope Ranch is an unincorporated suburb of Santa Barbara. This private community is situated on nearly 2,000 sprawling acres, including 22 miles of equestrian trails that crisscross through the neighborhood. It has plenty to offer its residents, such as private-access beach, a members-only golf club, tennis courts, and more.

This area was once completely owned by 1800s-era rancher Thomas W. Hope, from whom the community derives its name. However, it wasn’t until the 1920s that Hope Ranch was residentially developed. Since its humble origins, this town has continued to flourish and become a haven for well-to-do-Californians.
