Hope Ranch is an unincorporated suburb of Santa Barbara. This private community is situated on nearly 2,000 sprawling acres, including 22 miles of equestrian trails that crisscross through the neighborhood. It has plenty to offer its residents, such as private-access beach, a members-only golf club, tennis courts, and more.

This area was once completely owned by 1800s-era rancher Thomas W. Hope, from whom the community derives its name. However, it wasn’t until the 1920s that Hope Ranch was residentially developed. Since its humble origins, this town has continued to flourish and become a haven for well-to-do-Californians.

Hope Ranch comprises 773 homes, most of which are situated on spacious lots or acreage among gently rolling to hilly terrain. With only three roads to the public, Hope Ranch is known for its private and secluded nature. If you’re ready to shop until you drop, head over to the La Cumbre Plaza located just minutes away in Santa Barbara. This outdoor plaza features an assortment of popular retailers, including some fun options for entertainment.

Soak up that golden California sunshine at the Hope Ranch Beach. This private beach is for residents only and is the perfect place to enjoy a day swimming, picnicking, or sunbathing. Taking in the sunset here is another experience you don’t want to miss! 

If you want to get out and try something new, Santa Barbara’s dynamic Upper State Street is situated just five minutes away! This exciting street is lined with an abundance of exciting shops and restaurants.
